New album release on February 20
After a six-year break since his last appearance in 2008, FRANKIE HI-NRG MC returns to the Sanremo Festival with the songs “Un uomo è vivo” and “Pedala.”
“Un uomo è vivo” (music by Di Gesù, Galbignani, Beccafichi – lyrics by Di Gesù, Galbignani) was written as Frankie hi-nrg mc revisited his childhood home. Though filled with memories and mementos, it was a lifeless space. Discovering an extraordinary human side to his parents through their memories helped him uncover his own.
“Pedala” (music by Di Gesù, Galbignani, Beccafichi – lyrics by Di Gesù, Galbignani) reflects on life’s journey, using the world of cycling to frame its narrative. It describes the “rules of the game” of living, set to a rhythm reminiscent of pedaling up the Pordoi. It’s a song for those who understand the essence of cycling, a sentiment shared by everyone who has ever ridden a bike.
Both tracks were produced and arranged by FRANKIE HI-NRG MC and Leonardo “Fresco” Beccafichi. Maestro Stefano Barzan will arrange the songs for the Sanremo Festival and conduct the orchestra during FRANKIE HI-NRG MC’s performances.
The tracks at Sanremo will be featured in FRANKIE HI-NRG MC’s upcoming album, releasing on February 20. This album, six years after his last release “DePrimoMaggio,” is his sixth studio work and the first as an independent artist, under his new label Materie Prime Circolari (physical distribution by Artist First).
