EXPO 2015 SELF-BUILT PAVILIONS
Designers’ Narratives at Politecnico di Milano
The Politecnico di Milano offers an extraordinary opportunity for the citizens of Milan: a preview of the national pavilions of several countries that will be present at EXPO 2015. The designers themselves will explain the construction aspects behind the spectacular setups of these temporary architectures. The Politecnico di Milano has organized this series to highlight the presence of these great international architects and designers in Milan.
The series is sponsored by Expo Milano 2015 and the Scientific Committee of the Municipality of Milan “Universities for EXPO2015”.
Participation is free with registration at www.eventi.polimi.it
All meetings will be held in the Rogers Hall of the Politecnico di Milano, at via Ampère 2, at 6:00 PM. The presentations will be in English, except for the Italian Pavilion. Simultaneous translation services will be provided.

The activities of the Politecnico di Milano for Expo 2015 are numerous; among them, it coordinated the architectural concept of all 9 Clusters (collective pavilions where, for the first time, countries are grouped according to thematic identities and food supply chains rather than geographical criteria). It also curated the contents of the “Arid Zones” Cluster, which represents the challenge of living and exploiting the territory of these areas where surprising hidden vital resources exist. The architecture of the Cluster is inspired by a sandstorm.
