SONEROS DE VERDAD (Cuba)

Authentic, soulful and rhythmically: Soneros de Verdad take their audience on a journey through the musical diversity of Cuba.

They call themselves the second generation of the Buena Vista Social Club, and for good reason. Legendary Pio Leyva, a member of the original Buena Vista Social Club, was one of the founding members of this now seven-piece band led by Luis Frank Arias. Today, Luis Frank is celebrated as one of the foremost names and singers in the realm of powerful and authentic Son Cubano. Alongside his talented bandmates, he is on a mission to bring Son Cubano to the world, preserving Cuba’s rich musical heritage. His authentic style has earned him tremendous success in both Europe and the US, captivating audiences and taking them on a musical journey through Cuba’s diverse sounds.

Musically, Soneros De Verdad – the “singers of the truth” – carve their own path. They honor Son Cubano by playing classics like Chan Chan while also presenting powerful original compositions. Each year, they release new CDs and music videos, showcasing a brilliance and energy that has never been heard before.

Together, they enchant audiences with their energetic stage presence and masterful performances.
